Summer 2019 Garden Furniture Predictions

With 2018 behind us, we’re all looking ahead to the summer to see what 2019 has in store for stylish outdoor living. With such an array of different styles of furniture being so popular right now a lot comes down to personal preference and budget. It’s said that you can’t create style on a budget, but we beg to differ. Take the Alexander Rose Portofino Collection, with its eclectic yet simple street café look and styling, thanks to it’s mild steel mesh construction finished in a powder coating of grey, a major on-trend colour. As well as being lightweight and easy to maintain it is durable, practical and looks great in any situation. All at such an affordable price, this range really hits the mark. Backed up by a five year warranty on the mesh construction, proves that price does not come before good quality.

Alexander Rose have always lead the market in quality wooden garden furniture so if wood is more your thing, then seriously consider their Roble Collection. Similar in the strength and density of teak, but with a beautiful light yellow hue, the Roble wood is sourced sustainably from Bolivia, and it really does make some of the most beautiful furniture available. Within the range you will find the classic table, chair and bench designs you would expect from wooden garden furniture, but these are intermingled with some cleverly designed items with a twist of modern thrown in. There’s even a very stylish modular sofa range which we expect will be a real wow in 2019.

The buzz around Barlow Tyrie for next year is certainly their Aura and Titan ranges which exploded on to the market, with demand outstripping supply. If you’re looking for simplistic elegance the Aura fits the brief perfectly. Combining powder coated aluminium frames, teak table tops with aluminium inlay, Textilene sling chairs, and with deep seating and high dining options also available in a choice of 3 fabulous colourways, this range is fit to grace Penthouses, Pools and Patios anywhere and everywhere. Titan by name and Titan by nature, this beautiful rustic teak range from Barlow Tyrie undoubtedly makes a stunning visual statement. Made from laminated teak which includes wild grain patterns and knots, it is just perfect for those looking to create a rustic farmhouse look. Big sociable tables teamed with simple dining benches make this the ideal set for large gatherings of friends and family. There is a rustic dining armchair option too.

With the Barlow Tyrie brand being synonymous with exceptional quality garden furniture, these are bound to appeal to the most discerning customer. Bramblecrest have certainly captured the market of family friendly, affordable and hugely practical furniture with both their Oakridge and Monterey ranges over the last couple of seasons, and we predict this will continue to be the case into 2019. Both ranges feature compact sets suitable for the smallest patios or conservatories, right through to larger dining and modular sofa sets, they really have thought of every space that might need to be filled. Their fabulous adjustable casual dining tables are such an inspirational idea, which when put with their modular sofa sets turn a coffee around a sofa into an entire casual dining experience.

The Oakridge is the epitome of classically stylish garden furniture. High back comfortable chairs which give support, and even a recliner chair option within the range. The Oatmeal coloured weave with its slightly ‘roughed up’ feel gives the rustic look and feel of natural wicker, yet still retains the practicality of being completely impervious to the elements and can be left outside all year. The fawn season-proof cushions need only be stored inside during prolonged periods of non-use.

If you’re looking for something just a little bit different from the general perception of woven garden furniture with a slightly more modern and ‘stand out’ look, then the Monterey is the one. It gives a gentle nod to classic styling with its curved contours, but comes in a very attractive smooth Dove Grey weave with sumptuous charcoal grey season-proof cushions, which again need only be stored inside if not being used for a prolonged period. Table tops now include a stunning wood effect ceramic option as well as glass. The Monterey range is so family friendly and usable, and without a hefty price tag it’s obvious why it was one of the best selling ranges last year.

In summary, 2019 looks like a pretty exciting year in the world of garden furniture!
