I love Dirty Works; they're a high quality, affordable British beauty brand who you'll instantly recognise from their adorable packaging. As well as skincare they also have a range of pampering bath and body products, beauty bags and large range of beauty tools including brushes, tweezers, eyelash curlers and everything you'd need for a mani/pedi. I've been trialling some skincare products and the difference they've made to my previously dry and dull winter skin has been incredible. Here's what I thought!
Perfecting Eye Cream: £5
This is a light, non sticky eye cream designed to reduce puffiness, brighten dark circles and improve the appearance of fine lines. One of the ingredients in this is caffeine which has actually been shown to improve circulation, and so over time will really help to improve the look of the skin. The nozzle tip gives you great precision, it doesn't sting and it applies beautifully. All in all it's a fantastic little eye cream, it covers all bases when it comes to under eye skin complaints so will benefit just about everyone.
Facial Oil: £5
This is my favourite product of the bunch, it's a gorgeous formula and has really impressed me- definite new facial oil favourite! Somehow Dirty Works have created an oil that's hugely hydrating but in no way greasy or heavy on the skin. It feels so light and absorbs quickly while still leaving your skin really nicely moisturised. It even sits well under makeup without leaving you looking shiny, or making your foundation slide off your face! At £5 it's cheap as chips and such a great product to have in your skincare stash, I absolutely love it.
Overnight Facial Lift: £8
For me, a good night cream is rich and hydrating, prevents the signs of aging and absorbs well into the skin without any horrible stickiness. This Overnight Lift ticks all of the boxes for me- it contains a 'triple peptide' to lift, firm and tone all as you sleep as well as fantastic skin ingredients including shea butter and seaweed extract. It's designed to boost the collagen in the skin which is great for treating or preventing any pesky fine lines too.
Cucumber Eye Masks: £4
Puffy eyes are never a good look, but it's difficult to know how to treat them. Most face masks and products tell you to keep them well away from the eyes, for years I've used the trusty 'cold spoons' method where you cool spoons in the fridge then place the backs of them onto the eyes. While it does kind of work it's hardly the most glamorous trick in the world- and so a cooling and soothing eye mask is a much better option. These contain aloe vera as well as cucumber (so are more beneficial than slicing up actual cucumbers) and are designed to cool and soothe the eyes and reduce dark circles. These feel amazing on, especially when your eyes are a bit sore at the end of the day.
Hanging Wash Bag: £8
How cute is this hanging wash bag, plus it's the handiest thing ever for travelling. When you're a beauty fanatic it can be hard travelling with all of your lotions and potions and before you know it you'll have cluttered up the bathroom of wherever you're staying. But all of the different compartments in this means it's easy to keep organised, I've been using this when staying over at friend's houses it's been a life saver. So much easier than digging round in a big wash bag; the different compartments mean you're not mixing up your skincare, makeup, perfume and jewellery and everything is much easier to access. The outer material is made from pvc meaning it's wipe clean too so will stay looking nice for a long time.
