Please Me is a matte formulation, but if you suffer from dreaded dry lips it doesn't feel powdery or heavy, and doesn't suck out all of the moisture. Instead it sits quite comfortably, there's a slight sheen when it's first applied that dries down to a matte finish that lasts for ages. This was definitely a good choice for the daytime as you can swipe it on in the morning and not have to worry about it again until lunchtime; I'm a lipstick fanatic as much as the next member of the female species, but it doesn't mean I want to be reapplying and checking on it every twenty minutes.
Please Me is an almost identical shade to one of my most worn lipsticks, 'Celeb' by Rimmel. Sadly the Rimmel one has been discontinued, and so if it happened to be one of your favourites too Please Me should slot into your life quite nicely. There might be a huge price difference, but in all fairness it's much more fun applying a Mac lipstick than it is a Rimmel one (not that I'm slating Rimmel lipsticks, I love 'em!). While bright and vibrant shades are my ultimate weakness when it comes to buying lipsticks, I'm glad to have a great daytime shade like this in my collection. It goes with any makeup look and is effortlessly pretty without making too much of a statement. If you're drowning in a sea of bold lipsticks and constantly find yourself looking for the perfect daytime staple, give 'Please Me' a swatch and see what you think!
