I know that the matte collection by Kate Moss/Rimmel has been out for a while now, but these three lipstick are so pretty they needed their own fifteen minutes of fame!
Shade 101
I wrote a full review post on this a while back now; it's not a colour I usually go for when I'm buying lipstick but somehow the colour grew on me a lot, you can probably tell from the picture I've got some good use from it over the last few months. The problem with this is that I don't think it's the sort of colour you can just throw on in the morning, it clings to any dry patches so you do have to prep your lips properly beforehand. Because it's such a light shade I do think you have to go a bit heavier with the rest of your makeup to avoid the corpse look, but done right it looks really nice. So basically it can contribute to you looking like a crusty, washed out mess or look like a gorgeous subtle lip as part of an intense makeup look depending on how you do it. Moral of the story, be a bit careful with this one!
Shade 110
This the newest Kate lipstick I own, I was looking for some nice coral lipsticks for over the next few months and ended up coming across some reviews of this one. I wasn't sure how well this would work on me when it arrived, I was worried it would look like a warm toned red on the lips which I already know doesn't suit me at all (you can read my post on how to choose the perfect red lipstick here). But luckily it does have quite a pink undertone so comes off much more as a coral which is a lot easier to wear. Bring on the sunshine because I can't wait to wear this over the spring and summer!
Shade 107
107 has to be one of my very favourite lipsticks. It's the perfect on-trend berry lip for autumn and winter but is still very classic for evenings out all year round. I think it's a lot easier to wear than most traditional reds and this berry colour will suit all skintones from light to dark. While I have other reds and darker shades that I love, this one is almost always my first choice when I want this kind of colour.
