Benefit 'Big Beautiful Eyes' Palette: £24.50 from Debenhams
The 'Big Beautiful Eyes' palette is one of my firm everyday favourites at the moment, I switch up my eye products quite regularly but this contains the perfect neutral shades that I always end up gravitating back towards. It's ideal for an everyday neutral smokey eye as the colours are subtle, easy to wear and don't drop a load of glitter and fallout everywhere when you're applying them. The three shades consist of a light shimmery highlight, a medium shimmery brown lid colour and a dark matte brown crease colour. On the left is a their Boi-ing concealer in shade 2, unfortunately this is too dark for me which is a shame because the coverage is amazing. On the front of the palette are instructions on where to put each colour, which would be fantastic for someone who is just starting out with eyeshadow.
This comes with two brushes, while they're not something I'd use over my own brushes they're a lot better than the awful sponge tip applicators that some cheaper brands include. I quite like the cute cardboard packaging, it probably wouldn't stand up too well to being bashed about in a makeup bag but I keep my most used products in a drawer anyway so haven't found it to be a problem. Overall I love this- it contains everything you need to create a gorgeous neutral smokey eye and the quality is top notch.
Do you own any Benefit eyeshadows? How do you rate them compared with Mac and Urban Decay?
