Mac Lightscapade: The Perfect Highlighter for Pale Skin

Mac Mineralised Skinfinish in Lightscapade: £22 Available Here

I absolutely love buying highlighters, they're pretty, sparkly and fun. The only problem is nine times out of ten I really don't like how they look on my face- the dewy look just doesn't work for me. Where highlighters give most people a nice glowy finish I find they make me just look a bit...greasy. But Lightscapade however is a an exception, and is one of the rare highlighters I've come across that's not too gold or metallic and doesn't leave chunky bits of glitter on your face.

Lightscapade is described by Mac as a 'soft, candlelit beige.' It has gorgeous blue veining runing through, I'm not sure what effect this has on the overall finish but hey it looks pretty in the pan so I'm not complaining. As with all Mac mineralised skinfinishes it has a domed surface, and contains a colossal 10g of product. With it being a highlighter you only need to use a small amount, I really cant ever see this running out (I've already had it since Christmas and am not even close to making a dent in it.. I'm intrigued to know how long it takes the average person to finish one of these, if you've ever used one up let me know how long it took you! I usually apply highlighter with a Real Techniques tiny little setting brush to accurately place it rather than get it all down my face, but with Lightscapade the finish is sheer and natural looking so it works well on a big fluffy powder brush lightly applied across the cheekbones. It brightens up the face with very little effort, and there's no worry of walking out of the house like a disco ball.

A few reviews I've read suggest this shade is a bit too ashy/ chalky for darker skintones, but if you're pale and find that most highlighters lean too gold against your skin this is the perfect one to try.
